Bonjour,

Once again you must put up with an e-mail from the one who does not possess the talent of being able to spell correctly and put all punctuation in its proper place; but Laura was too tired to type the e-mail this evening so she has gone off to bed.

This morning we headed off to a surprise birthday party for Jennifer Post, you know the one we have been planning to have for a couple of weeks now but it kept getting put off for one reason or another. Well miracles of miracles we pulled it off today and she had no idea that she was on her way to a birthday party.

We all met at a restaurant on the other side of Abidjan next to the ocean. Dan had gone there the day before and rented the place for just a few dollars. We had the whole place to ourselves. The Posts, Litsons, Engelharts, Machs, and Tammy Arnoud were there. It was a nice cool day with a nice cool seabreeze and the ladies had packed a picnic lunch that was delicious.

The kids played in the sand while the ladies fixed the plates and the men had a nice relaxing time setting in the shade fellowshipping. It is always so much fun to watch all of the kids playing together.

Gilbert and Danny both slept all the way home. When we arrived, Gilbert and I went into the back yard to play. He likes to play football, he gets down into a three point stance and says “Hut one, hut two, CAKE!” Then he takes off running across the yard.

This evening we watched the video that we took today and Gilbert was telling us everything that was going to happen before he had even seen what was recorded. He sure can pay attention even though it seems like he is not.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
