Bonjour,
This morning a little before 4:00, Gilbert came into our room. He said that he had a bad headache and couldn't sleep. He also had a fever. I got up, took his temperature, and gave him some Tylenol. As soon as the medicine hit his stomach, he puked. He stayed home from school today. He would feel better for a while and then would be back down again. If he is still sick in the morning, we will take him to the doctor to test for malaria.
Danny and Bonnie were not too thrilled about going to school without Gilbert, but they went and did fine. Just after Joe dropped the kids off, Danny told the teacher that he was sick. They tried to call us, but we didn't catch the call in time. He did fine after that though.
Joe worked some more on the church financial reports. He also watched some football.
Gilbert and I took a nap this afternoon. Joe went to get Danny and Bonnie from school.
This evening, Kristine kept the kids while Joe and I went on a date. We went to Captain Hooks for supper. We picked up ice cream on the way home; the kids were happy about that. Bonnie slept the whole time we were gone; her short nap at school doesn't always cut it.
I just got a message on my phone from Jackie Siekbert. One of their sons has hives everywhere. It sounded like a food allergy. They didn't have any Benadryl; so, Joe took some over there.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
