Bonjour,
We kept the Litson girls for a few hours today. We took all of the kids to the zoo. They had a great time. It only costs about $.50 per person to get in. They must have decided that they weren’t making enough because they now have a $10 fee if you bring a camera. So, we paid the fee for the video camera but not the still camera.
Gilbert was so excited to show the girls where the next animals were. Gilbert went a couple months ago, and the girls had not been there before. Gilbert kept saying, “Come on! Let’s see . . .” followed by whatever animal was next.
A little monkey got out of the cage and headed straight for Gilbert. Before we could stop him, the monkey grabbed Gilbert’s hand. Joe grabbed Gilbert, and the monkey decided to go the other way. Gilbert said, “I scared monkey!” meaning that the monkey scared him.
Allison’s favorite animal was the hyena. Meganne and Joanna liked them all. Danny wasn’t sure what to think. He had just fallen asleep when we got to the zoo. He had a look on his face as if he were asking, “Who woke me up?” for the first few minutes. We did get him to smile after he woke up a little.

Last time, the chimpanzee threw a plastic bottle. Today, he threw a rotten banana at us. He clapped his hands together really loud; that scared me. I was holding Danny. I jumped back because I wasn’t sure what he was throwing at us.
We had pizza for lunch and then headed home. Matt and Sarah got back about 2:30. The boys and I took a nap after they left.
After naps, we went for a walk. Joe mowed the lawn while the boys played with the Litson girls for a little while.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
