Bonjour!
We have safely arrived in Ivory Coast! Thank you for your prayers for us. We arrived without incident. The flights went well. All of our luggage arrived. We made it safely through the checkpoint to the Posts' house. They had our "apartment" set up for us with all of our stuff. We will be living in their guest quarters until we find a house.
Danny thought for sure that the airplane wasn't going anywhere. Bonnie wanted to be out of that seatbelt. She kept saying, "This buckle is hurting me." Gilbert and Danny were both shaken up when we had to stop at the police checkpoint last night. Danny started crying thinking that we were going to jail. Gilbert is worried about snakes getting him. They were all afraid to sleep in their room last night. So, everyone has some adjustments to go through.
All of the missionaries are staying close to home at this time. The Ivory Coast held their presidential elections on Sunday. The results from that election are to be announced tonight. If no one got 55% of the vote, there will be another election at the end of November. Please pray concerning the outcome of the election.

Since it has been awhile, I will remind you that the typing in black is Laura typing. If it is blue, that is Joe typing. That will help you keep things straight.
I started getting a sore throat on Sunday. It has turned into bronchitis. Joe and Dan were able to go to a nearby pharmacy to get an antibiotic. Pray that the antibiotic will take care of it this time. I just had bronchitis a few weeks ago. Other than that, we are doing well. The boys are having a great time playing with the Post boys. Bonnie is still trying to figure out who everybody is.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
