Bonjour,
We had a good day at church. Joe said that the Adult Sunday school class and the morning service both went well. No one counted the total attendance, but we had a good crowd there this morning.
Today was the first day for me to do both Sunday school and Junior Church for the six and under class. We made it through. We had ten when Sunday school started and ended up with twenty-two by junior church time. I didn't have a helper during Sunday school; so, the Fante speakers were in the dark. I started out with no help for junior church. A fight erupted, and the helper from the other class came to see what was happening. When he realized that I didn't have any help, he stayed to help me and translated into Fante for me. Things went much more smoothly after that!
One girl was obviously too old for our class; I told her to go to the class next door. For Junior Church, she was back again. Gilbert is always quick to pick up on things. He said, "Mom, that girl who is too old is back again." I asked her how old she was. She looked around trying to catch someone's eye so that they could tell her how old she needed to be for our class. After a moment, she said, "Seven." I told her that our class was for those six and under. She was upset with herself for guessing the wrong age!
After lunch, we took naps and then got ready to go back to church. The evening service went well too with eighteen in attendance.
After we got home, Joe was all geared up to listen to the Dallas Cowboys game on the radio via the internet, but our internet was down. It was down all evening.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
