Bonjour,
This morning, Joe went to the port for the inspection of our pallets. Apparently, the customs officials have not had much work lately because three captains came to inspect our stuff. They opened every box and removed every item. Joe had to put everything back in the boxes and back on the pallets. The good news is that the inspection is over. The bad news is that it is going to cost quite a bit more than we had expected to get the items out of port. Once the customs officials finish their report, we should be able to pay and pick the stuff up tomorrow.
We did school. We are having a hard time getting back into the routine, but we will get there eventually.
This afternoon, Joe and the boys went across the street with the Post boys. There is a field enclosed by a wall. The owner of this house owns the empty lot across the street. She was going to lose the land if it didn't have a wall around it. Dan put the wall around it. In exchange, the owner lets them use the field whenever they want. So, they played football over there today. Gilbert and Danny were on opposite teams. They had all kinds of stories to tell me at supper. Gilbert tackled Danny, and Danny picked Gilbert up and threw him like he had seen a football player do to someone on TV. They had fun, and there were no broken limbs. It really increased the boys' appetites at supper.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
