Bonjour,
It was cloudy and cooler this morning. It started raining toward the end of the second service.
The attendance was down this morning because of the weather. Felix, the young man who got saved yesterday at Bible Club, came to church today; he is seventeen.
My helper did not come today. I had fourteen in my class this morning. Bonnie said that she had not gotten to teach a lesson yet. So, I let her talk about the wordless book and lead the song. I had a hard time keeping a straight face. She sounded like a recording of her mother. She knew exactly what to say with each page. After she went through the book, she said, "Okay now, let's sing the song." She did not think that qualified as teaching a lesson, but I told her that she wasn't ready to teach a lesson yet.
I met with the ladies after church to decide when would be the best time to have a monthly ladies' meeting. Each time that was recommended wasn't good for someone. So, I guess we will just set a time and see if anyone comes.
After we got home, it really stormed. The power went off just as we were sitting down to eat lunch. After lunch, Joe started the generator. After naps, the power came back on.
We had a good service this evening. Dan preached a good message. There were fourteen in attendance.
The power is back up to its tricks this evening. Two phases went off. Then, the power went completely off. When it came back on, one phase was still down. It probably won't come back on until tomorrow.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
