W’apow mu e,
I am feeling better today than I did yesterday but am still dragging a little.  I get a burst of energy and try to do too much; then, I am exhausted.  Danny and Joe have had some type of stomach bug today.
The kids played outside this morning.  Danny would come in, lie down on the floor for a while, and then be ready to go again.
The boys have been waiting for Joe to use the chainsaw.  He needed to get some oil for it.  He went into town this afternoon and got the oil.  So, they got to see the chainsaw in use this afternoon.  They were so excited.  They were dragging tree branches to the burning pile.  Gilbert was upset because Danny came and stood on the branch that he was trying to move.
Bonnie was “helping” me get supper ready.  I told her to call the boys for supper.  No one came inside.  I asked her if she thought that they had heard the call for supper.  She said, “Dad’s just burning daylight.”
I found a cake mix that was on sale while I was in the States.  It was a Betty Crocker Fun-da-Middles mix.  It had cream that went in the middle of the cupcake.  Those were a big hit today.  Danny said, “Next time, you should make two pans of those, Mom.”  I told him that it was a mix and that I only brought one.  He was disappointed to hear that.
Gilbert had a scooter wreck and scraped his foot.  He has been hobbling around all evening.  He came down the hallway with a bat under each arm.  Bonnie skinned both of her knees; she thought the bats were a great idea and had to try them out.
Nantsew yie!
