Bonjour,
Some type of a stomach bug hit me last night. I was up most of the
night. I was able to get some rest today and am feeling much better
this evening.
Joe headed in for a work day at the church. On his way, an oil hose
blew. So, he spent the morning at the mechanic's shade tree instead.
(The tree was partially cut down, but it is growing back. Hooray! Joe
says that he knows how Jonah felt when his gourd was eaten by the worm.)
Romeo and several of the boys from the church worked on putting sand
bags around the bamboo structure. Last week, we had a torrential rain.
It rained so hard that there was a "river" flowing through the bamboo
structure. The water was going up over the half wall. A little child
had been swept into the current; the wall stopped the child, and someone
was able to grab the child.

The boys went to church with Joe. Bonnie and I stayed home since I
wasn't feeling very well and there are no bathroom facilities at the
church. They had a good service with 27 in attendance.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
P.S. We leave for the States three months from today!
