Easter Monday

Easter Monday is a big holiday here in Ghana. This morning, I woke up as usual, did my morning things, and got ready to head out with Bro. Ruckman. Once we were ready and loaded up, we headed out to get some things for the fellowship at the church. Once we got to the church, I got right to work helping Bro. Sammy with making gizzard sticks. We cut, seasoned, and put all the chicken gizzards on sticks and started the grilling process.

We had planned to start eating at noon, but things never go seem to go as planned. We ended up eating close to 2:30 P.M. However, I am not complaining at all because all the food turned out great!!!

Once we left the church, we visited one of the young couples in our church who just had their first baby. Once we left their house, we headed back to ours. Once we got home, I started working on a computer project, and I ended up sitting there for close to two hours.

We were able to celebrate a birthday with one of the neighbor girls, and her sister made a very good cake. We played games and had a good time; then, I headed up to my room for the night. I have gotten cleaned up, and I am now lying on my bed getting ready to fall asleep.

  1. What a day you had! Seemed like answered prayer. Today I stayed with Boo. I was afraid she would get choked when she coughed. I am nervous grandma, I guess. Will be praying for you and love you!
