This morning, I woke up a little later than normal. But when I did wake up, I felt really good. The good night of rest and the medicine I have been taking really helped. Once I woke up, I got ready and started getting things done. I made a breakfast concoction that I was nor sure would turn out. It actually turned out great. I mixed some cereal with some yogurt and then added a bit of drink mix to the yogurt, and it tasted really good.
After breakfast, I made sure to get things unlocked and to get the morning duties done. After I was done with that, I waited for the landlord to arrive. Today, he and a few other guys came and worked for several hours. I basically stayed out of the way, but I was here if they needed anything.
Once lunchtime came around, I heated up some leftovers. After lunch, I went back up to my room. I was able to get a load of laundry started earlier in the day; so, I was able to get that done right before Bible Club. The kids started arriving at the house over an hour and a half before the class was supposed to start. They were able to help me get things set up. They played outside until it was time to start. The class went well, until it came time for the kids to leave. There is always a bit of chaos when the kids get their toffee (candy) and water, but tonight it seemed like a little more chaotic than usual. I may have seen the full version of the chaos because the Ruckmans are not here. All in all, everything went well, and we were finally able to get all the kids out of the compound.
Once everyone was gone, I went inside to start on supper. It took me a few minutes to decide what I wanted, but I am glad I chose what I did. I made Indomie, which is basically ramen noodles. With the ramen, I cooked up some Ghanaian sausage. The meal was quick and easy, but it was also very good. I was able to talk to my brother on the phone for a good amount of time. He called me as I was making supper and stayed on the phone the entire time I ate, cleaned up the kitchen, and relaxed. I was glad to get to talk to someone. It gets a little lonely being at the house all by myself, but I have not lost my mind yet; so things are all good. 🙂
Once I had finished on the phone with my brother, I got cleaned up and then headed to my room for the night. Once in my room, I folded and put away my laundry. I am now typing the blog. It is currently 9:29 P.M.; so, I’ll be going to sleep pretty soon. Thank you for praying for my health. I seem to be on the mend.
One response to “A Day Around the House.”
What a blessing to hear that you felt better. Keep drinking and resting up for a day or two. We are still praying. Glad the Bible Club went well! Love you!
