Week #1 of College

The first two days were pretty long and monotonous. I had orientation on Monday and registration on Tuesday.

Tuesday night, we had bus conference which was really fun. I learned a lot about the bus ministry. We finished the bus conference Wednesday morning by having a junior church lesson and some other activities. I won the quiet-seat prize for the boys.

Thursday morning, we had our first classes. All the classes were good, and I am looking forward to learning a lot in the classes. We also had classes on Friday, and they also went well.

On Monday, I started my job ay the college. It is a pretty good job; the only thing is I work 10:00 P.M.— 4:00 A.M. 🙃 This means that I only get about two and a half hours of sleep before I have to be up and ready for classes. I do get to sleep in the afternoon though. The only bad part about that is that I have been experiencing an extreme time change; so, I got to sleep at 1:00 P.M. and wake up at 5:00 P.M., thinking it is 5:00 A.M. and that I have missed my entire shift. 😂

On Saturday, we had a good time out door knocking and visiting our bus routes. At our last bus visit, we played soccer with the kids, had a water fight, and bought some popsicles for them.

Once we got back to the college, we quickly got ready and then left for a baseball game. It was an okay game, but our team lost 12-8. After the game, they had a firework show, which was really neat.

My Sunday schedule is a little different than it was last week. On Sunday morning, I attended my Sunday school class; then, we had our morning service, and I rode the bus while we took the kids back to their houses.

It is now Monday, Labor Day. We don’t have classes today, but we do have an activity. We have just finished a three-hour canoe trip and are now heading to go hiking at two different parks.

  1. Wow. Interesting. Praying you can keep up with hours. Praying God gives you the strength and wisdom you need

  2. Oh wow; such a busy time for you, but it sounds like you’re doing mostly things that you love! I am happy for you, Son! We do miss having you close by, but I so want you to be wherever God wants you all the time. We love you sooo much!

  3. Thanks for sharing. We will be praying. Glad you get to do the same job your Dad and Grandpa did when they went to Bible College. Do a good job and have fun.
