This morning, I woke up at 6:00. We were able to leave the house by 6:30 A.M. Once we got to the airport, we were able to get checked in without a problem. We only had an hour at the airport before our first flight from Takoradi to Accra. I think the flight actually left early.
After we got off that airplane, we had to get our luggage and take it to the new airport. We were dropped off at the old airport, but our next flight was leaving from the new airport. So, we had to recheck all of our stuff; then, we had an hour or two to eat lunch and board our flight. This flight took us from Accra to Lome.
After this flight, we got off the plane and went through security for the third time. Each time we went through security, we had to take our laptop and iPad out of our carry on. It was a hassle to get everything back in the same way each time. Not to mention, we had to empty our pockets, take off our shoes, take off our belt, etc. We did not have a long layover at the Lome airport. It was a good thing too because it was hot where we were waiting.
We then boarded a bus to take us to the plane. We had to wait on the bus for a while, but we finally got on the plane to Ouagadougou. Once we arrived in Ouagadougou, we had to get a visa for our nine-day stay. This was a very long process, but we were finally able to get everything done, with the help of Bro. Keith Shumaker. We ended up waiting for over two hours, but we got everything done.
We then had a drive to the house. Once we got to the house, we had five minutes to get ready for church. Once we got to church, we sang a few songs; then, I preached. After I had finished preaching, Bro. Shumaker then asked some questions to the congregation about my sermon. We then had prayer meeting for the upcoming Missions Conference.
Please pray that we will all sleep well tonight. I did not get to sleep until after midnight last night, and I have not slept at all today. We are going to be very busy the next few days; so pray that we will all remain in good health and remain in good spirits. Also, pray that the conference will go well and that God will work in hearts and lives.
