Water Problems, Power Problems, and a Haircut 😬

This morning, I woke up at 6:30 to Bro. Ruckman texting me that there was a water mess that needed to be cleaned up. The power had gone out; so, Bro. Ruckman needed to turn the generator on. Well, the toilet we have had fixed twice began overflowing and made a mess. I went downstairs right away, got the mess cleaned up, and then headed back up to my room. The power ended up coming on and then going back off again. Thankfully, around 11:30 A.M., it came back on.

Once the power was back on, I decided to try cutting my own hair for the first time in my life. Everything went pretty smoothly, but I really struggled to cut the back. Once I thought I was done, I got a shower, and headed down to see if Bro. Ruckman thought it was okay. I showed him the front and the sides, and he thought it looked good; but when he saw the back, he immediately said, “Ooooo.” I knew that was not good. 😂 He gave me a handheld mirror, and I went back up to my room to try to salvage the back. It took me a while, but I finally got it to look okay. Bro. Ruckman said that there were still a few uneven spots, but I decided to quit while I still had hair. 🤣 Mrs. Angie said she would not have even noticed that it was messed up until Bro. Ruckman pointed it out to her.

I rested and studied for the rest of the afternoon. We had a great supper before heading to church. Once we got to church, I started talking with some of the boys. One of them complimented my hair cut, and I proudly told them that I cut it myself, to which they said, “You are lying.” I told them, “No, I am not lying; go ask Pastor James.” They did not ask him; so, I guess they believed me. One of the boys even said he would come to me for his next haircut. 😂

We had a great service, then raked for a little bit after the service. Once we were finished up, we headed back to the house. I am now in my room. The power is out downstairs but is on upstairs. 🥴 This means that we have no WiFi and no water, but at least we still have ac and fans.
