The Start of a Busy Week

Last night, before going to bed, I asked Bro. Ruckman what time we were getting started in the morning. He proceeded to send a very long text of all the days activities and what time each activity would be starting:). The good thing is, we did not have to start early. I woke up around 7:50 this morning. I ate breakfast and began studying my dictation words for Fante class.

We started Fante class around 10:30 A.M. While we were having Fante class, there were men working on the electricity, and there was a young man from the church learning piano. There were so many things going on. I was able to get nine out of the ten dictation words correct. The teacher was shocked. I think I am starting to get the hang of some things, while other things, I do not have a clue what is going on.

After Fante class, we had a quick lunch; then we were off to the church for Bible Institute. We did four Bible Institute classes. We were at the church from 1:30 to 5:30. When we had finished with the classes, we got a call. It was Mrs. Angie. The door to their bedroom broke earlier this morning; so if you closed it, it would get stuck. Well, Mrs. Ruckman accidentally shut herself in her room, then could not get out. She had already been in the room for an hour or two when we got home. We tried to milk the situation, so we could get something out of it. She said if we let her out she would make us supper, that was good enough for us:).

We had spaghetti and bread sticks for supper, it was so good. Bro. Ruckman and Mrs. Angie are now having a meeting with a couple that is getting married in a few weeks. After the couples meeting, a couple of the local pastors are coming to help plan the wedding. I am choosing not to be a part of those meetings:). Instead, I am going to watch some shows, and I will most likely be getting ready for bed. In the morning, we are loading a transport with Bibles, Tracts, and John and Romans for a church that is a few hours away. We will be loading the transport at 8:00 A.M. So, I am looking forward to a good night of rest.

Today was Mom, Danny, and Bonnie’s first day of school. I made sure they kept tradition by taking the yearly first day of school picture. Today, was Danny’s last, first day of school. Bonnie is in the tenth grade, and mom is teaching several classes, as usual.

  2. THE STORY ABOUT THE DOOR STUCK REMINDS ME OF A HAPPENING HERE A FEW YEARS AGO. WE LIVED IN THE BIG HOUSE ON TRAVIS AND JAMIE ROUT LIVED IN A TRAVEL TRAILER RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR WINDOW. AS I WALKED TO CHURCH I HEARD A VOICE SAYING…BRO EDDIE…HELP…I AM LOCKED IN THE BATHROOM. THE DOOR KNOB HAD JUST FALLEN APART AND SHE COULD NOT GET OUT. IT WAS VERY HUMOROUS TO ME…ON THE OUTSIDE…BUT IT DIDN’T SEEM TO AMUSE HER AT ALL. SHE HAD TAKEN HER SHOWER SO SHE WAS NOT READY FOR PUBLIC OBSERVATION WHEN I GOT THE DOOR OPEN. I THINK MARY’S MOM WENT IN AND DID THE LAST PART OF ACTUALLY OPENING THE DOOR THE GET HER OUT…………..fun memories.
