This morning, I woke up at 7:00. After waking up, I did my Bible reading then headed downstairs. After a bit of breakfast, I headed back up to my room to work on a computer project. I was able to work on it for a good while before going to town with the Ruckmans.

Missionary on Fire Podcast

Preserving the Legacy of Faithful Missionaries

The Missionary on Fire podcast features interviews with veteran missionaries, classic sermons from the field, and stories of God’s faithfulness across generations. If you love the heart behind these stories, you will love the podcast. New episodes regularly.

We were able to get some shopping done. Then while we were at the mall, I decided to get my teeth cleaned and have a checkup done at the dentist. The dentist only took about thirty minutes. After I finished there, I got a taxi back to the house.

Once I got back to the house, I finished working on the computer project before getting things ready for Bible club. We had a good time at Bible club. We had a bit of trouble getting some of the kids out the gate, but we were finally able to get them out.

After Bible club, Bro. Ruckman grilled chicken, and Mrs. Angie made a side dish of potato salad. After supper, we watched a show for a little while before heading up to our rooms for the night. I am now about to head to bed.

When we were on a Missions trip to Mexico years ago they told us that it’s nearly impossible to get them to leave. I think they finally had to tell them it’s time to leave

  2. I admit I got a tad behind on reading your blog. I’m all caught up now! I’m so glad you’re doing well and learning so much. Those unpleasant experiences (no electricity and extreme heat) tend to teach the greatest lessons in perseverance and ingenuity. I’m also glad that you’re taking good care of your teeth. I did not know, until I went to work in a dentist office, how important oral health is for our entire body’s health. Keep it up. We’re only as useful as our bodies allow us to be and we’re responsible for doing our part in keeping it at its best!
