Laundry and Work around the House – Friday, March 29, 2024

This morning, we did not have much planned; so, I slept in a little. Once I got up, I read my Bible and went downstairs. Mrs. Angie was finishing up making pancakes for breakfast. They were very good.

After breakfast, we started doing laundry. I think we were able to get everything washed. We were trying to make sure we got it all washed before we had another power outage.

For most of the day, I just did little things around the house. The Ruckmans did go out a few times to run some errands; but today, I stayed inside the compound.

We had Bible club this evening. Everything went smoothly until the very end when it was time to send the kids home; but thankfully after a little while, we finally got them all out. After Bible club, Mrs. Angie prepared homemade pizza. After we had eaten, I lost another game. My mom said that I have inherited my grandpa’s luck when it comes to games. (I don’t think that is much of a compliment. 😉)

Just as we were finishing the game, the power went out. Thankfully some cooler weather had blown in, and it feels pretty nice with my door open. Before I went up to my room for the evening, I decided to take some pictures of the heat storm. We had about two hours of constant lightning, and I was able to capture a few cool shots.

I am now lying on the floor in front of my screen door. Every once in a while, I get a nice cool breeze. I may be able to sleep without my battery fan tonight.
