Last Day in Takoradi, Ghana

This morning after I woke up, we had breakfast. After some breakfast, Dad and I got ready to go to Pastor Dare’s church. We had Bro. Paa Kwofie pick us up; then, we headed over. We had great services there, and Dad did a great job in both the Sunday school and morning service. At the end of the service, an elderly man came forward for salvation!!!

Once we got back to the house, we changed clothes and headed out to eat with the Kenney family. I was glad I got to say my last goodbyes to them before we leave tomorrow. After we had a delicious meal and a great time of fellowship, we headed back to the house. Once we got home, I scrubbed my bathroom and swept the floor. Once I had finished cleaning, I had just enough time to get a little bit of rest in before heading back to church for my final choir practice.

I was given the opportunity to preach my final message. It was entitled “A Message of Thanksgiving.” I preached and thanked everyone for all that they have done for me in the last 11 months or so. After the service, the men of the church presented “fubos” to my dad and me. (The fubo is the African shirts and hats we are wearing.)

I then passed out all of my snacks that I have kept hidden in my room for the last eleven months. 🤣🤣🤣 Some kids liked them, and some really did not. Once it was time for us to head back to the house, the kids were pulling and pushing me soo hard that I just knew I was going to fall over. Thankfully, I made it into the truck without being trampled by the paparazzi. 😂

Once we got back to the house, we had some supper. Then, I finished up my packing. It feels weird that tomorrow we start our journey back to Texas.

I am now about to get cleaned up and then head to bed after a long but very good day. I am getting up bright and early to get things loaded and packed up before we head off to the airport at 6:30 A.M.
