The Mission
At Hope of Africa Baptist Ministry, our calling is to spread the Gospel by planting churches, training local leaders, and nurturing the next generation of believers across Ghana and West Africa. Through dedicated ministries like Calvary’s Hope Academy and our Bible Institute, we aim to make a lasting impact for Christ.
Calvary’s Hope Academy
A Boarding School with a Heart for Orphans and the Gospel
Calvary’s Hope Academy is a four-story boarding school designed to house 78 children and two house families. Operating under the authority of Mt. Calvary Fundamental Baptist Church in Ghana, the academy provides a safe and nurturing environment for homeless, needy, and orphaned children.
Our Vision:
- Spiritual Growth: Teaching the Word of God to lead children to salvation and spiritual maturity.
- Educational Excellence: Providing quality education to equip students for future opportunities.
- Vocational Training: Preparing students with practical skills for self-sufficiency.
- Church Planting: Encouraging students to become future church planters and leaders.
Current Progress:
- Phases 1 & 2: Foundation and ground floor completed with $106,000 raised.
- Phase 3: Seeking $88,000 to construct the second floor, which will house 38 children and one house family.
- Temporary Opening: Planning to open the ground floor in September 2025 as a temporary measure.

Bible Institute
Training Leaders to Preach and Plant Churches
Our Bible Institute is dedicated to preparing believers to serve the Lord effectively. As students graduate, they are sent out to plant churches throughout Ghana and West Africa.
Focus Areas:
- Preaching the Gospel: Reaching unreached villages with the message of Christ.
- Church Planting: Establishing new churches and discipling believers.
- Leadership Development: Equipping men with theological training and practical ministry skills.
- Infrastructure Support: Purchasing land and constructing church buildings as the Lord provides.
