First Full Week in Ghana!!!

Today marks my first full week living in Ghana. I again woke up a little late today. Dad had left at seven in the morning to go preach at a school. Fifteen souls were saved at the school. The rest of us worked on getting all my stuff moved into my room. Once we had finished moving my stuff, Mom, Danny, and Bonnie worked on getting their stuff packed up because they will be flying to Accra tomorrow morning.

Dad got home around eleven; then, we ate lunch. After lunch, Bro. Prince, Dad, Bonnie, and I went to the store to get a few things. I also tested my bank card to be sure I could get money:). When we got home, I went to take a rest, but was woken up about ten minutes into my nap. The Dwayne Harrison family had come over for a visit. We were able to fellowship with them for around an hour and a half.

After having a good time with friends, we headed off to church. Bro. Ruckman, Dad, Danny, and I visited Pastor Augustine Amoah’s tent church. The kids were very excited, and they did not calm down the entire service. Although the children were misbehaving, the Lord worked in hearts. At the end of the service, five souls were saved.

We made it home safely and ate a delicious meal. Now, we are fellowshipping for a little bi;, then we are headed to bed (early). We are going to leave the house at 6:30 in the morning in order for Dad, Mom, Danny, and Bonnie to make their flight, which will be leaving at 8:30 tomorrow morning. I am really going to miss them, as this will be the first time I have ever been without family. But I know Bro. and Mrs. Ruckman are going to be like family, and I know I will not go hungry, because the food is delicious.

  3. I think this is what is called “becoming a man”. Not many young men will get to experience it the way you do. You are truly blessed. Remember that many people are praying for you including us. Also the Lord brought you to where you are and He will see you through.
