First Day of Bachelorhood

This morning, I woke up around 8:00 or so. Once I had gotten up, I got ready for the day. Just as I was coming out of my room, I met Bro. Ruckman in the hall. He told me that he would be down in a while; so, instead of going down, I stayed in my room and worked on my sermon for tomorrow night. Once I had gotten the basic idea of what I wanted to preach, I went downstairs. I will be preaching each Wednesday night while the Ruckmans are in the U.S.

The Ruckmans were eating breakfast. After they had finished eating, Mrs. Angie made me a little something to eat. It was very good. After breakfast, I helped the Ruckmans do a few things around the house; then, I helped them load their stuff in the truck. Once we had said our goodbyes and given handshakes and hugs, I opened the gate and waved goodbye. I could not help but feel sad to see them go, but it is only three weeks. They will be going to Bro. Ruckman’s grandpa’s funeral and spending some time with family.

Once they had left, I did a few things around the house. For supper, I microwaved some leftover hamburger stuff and made some fries. After I had eaten, I turned the air on in the living room for awhile.

I have now locked everything up and am in my room for the evening. Once I am done typing, I am off to get cleaned up and head to bed.

  1. Sounds like a great first day. It has rained so hard. I think we will have some flooded roads. It is so nice to have a warm dry place to live. Papa and your dad are busy making new doors for the side of the building. I think it will really look great when they get done! We love you and will be praying.

  2. WARNING…,.NOW THAT YOU ARE ALONE IN THE HOUSE IN THE NIGHT, THINGS WILL GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT! BUT IT IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!! i think
