Finally Made It to Cape Coast!!!

This morning, I woke up at 6:40. I thought we would be leaving at 7:30 A.M., but we ended up having to stick around. So, I finished packing up and brought my stuff downstairs. We were able to eat breakfast and do some stuff around the house. We could not leave because some men needed to come by the house to finish up working on the electrical project. While we waited for the men to come, we were able to relax around the house for a while. Once they came, they got their scaffolding set up and got to work.

While they worked on that, we went to Bible Institute. Bro. Ruckman dropped Mrs. Angie and I off; then, he went home to oversee the work. Mrs. Angie and I stayed for two class periods; then, we went home. Once we took Mrs. Angie home, we set off on our trip to Cape Coast.

We had a great drive. Once we got to Cape Coast, we got set up in our hotel rooms. The rooms are huge with a king size bed and a big bathroom. After we had gotten set up, we drove to the Trianos’ house. Once we got there, we had a delicious meal and good fellowship. After we had been at their house for a while, we drove to the church. I was able to fly my drone for a while; then, we started church. We had a great service. Bro. Ruckman preached on the Will of God. The message was very good.

After the service, I got to meet one of Danny and Bonnie’s teachers from over ten years ago, Madame Selina. As soon as I recognized her, she gave me a huge hug. I FaceTimed Mom and Bonnie so that Madame Selina could talk to them. (Danny wasn’t at home at that time.) The entire time she was talking on the phone, she had a thrill in her voice. She was so excited to get to talk to me. Once we had finished up at the church, we dropped off a family from the church; then, we got KFC for a late night supper/snack. When we got back to the hotel, we went to our separate rooms to enjoy our meals.

It is currently 10:32 P.M.; so, I am going to take a shower and then head to bed. We leave the hotel at 8:00 in the morning for breakfast at the Trianos’ house.

I’ll have to post some pictures later. My Mom is posting this for me.

  1. How fun to talk to teachers of old. Glad y’all had the opportunity to catch up. Maybe Danny can join the next party line. 😉
