Evangelism and More

This morning, I woke up at 7:45. I got ready for the day and went downstairs. The Ruckmans left early this morning; so, I did not see them at all today.

I ate cereal for breakfast and got ready to go out on evangelism with some of the guys from the church. They showed up at the house a little after nine. We had to get some tracts stamped; then, we were ready to go. But just before we left the house, it started raining. It ended up raining for about an hour, which is very unusual at this time of year because it does not usually rain again until March or April. I may be wrong, because I think it is not supposed to start rainy season until July, but I am not sure.

After it finished raining, we set out on evangelism. We were able to speak with several people, and a young lady trusted Christ as her Savior. She wants to join the church; so, we are going to try to pick her up on our way to church tomorrow. After about two hours of evangelism, we walked to a welder and showed him a project I want done. I am not sure if you know of this game, but it is called disc golf. I am having the welder build a disc golf basket for me so that I can at least practice putting in the compound. (The main reason I want it built is so that I can compete against my brother and dad in this game they have found. It will give me some way to be connected with them, although I am five thousand miles away.)

Once we left the welder, we parted ways. I walked back to the house, and the others took a taxi back to their house. On my way home, I stopped at a roadside restaurant to get a meal because I wanted something hot and ready for when I got home. I ordered light soup, goat, and rice. Everything was good; the light soup was a little spicy, and the goat was mostly skin; so, there was not much edible meat.

After lunch, I washed the dishes, took out the trash, then headed up to my room for the afternoon. I turned my ac on and rested. After I rested, I took a shower because I had gotten very hot while out on evangelism. After my shower, I heated up some leftover pizza and watched a show in the living room. It is currently 9:10 P.M.; so, I am getting to the blog earlier than I have been the last few nights. I am probably about to head up to my room to do a bit of cleaning. Then, I may go to sleep a bit earlier than I have been the last few nights.

The update on Boris is that they did get in to see a doctor. However, the specialist who can do the colonoscopy won’t be in until next week. Continue to pray for him.

  1. Sometimes those roadside meals are amazing! One saved! AMEN! Make sure you take photos of those meals when you get them spread out. People sure like photos of good food.
