Another Great Sunday!!!

This morning, I woke up at 7:25. I then got ready for church and made my way downstairs for breakfast. Bro. Ruckman and Mrs. Angie had already eaten; so, I fried up some leftover corned beef and potatoes, sausage, and a runny egg with some toast. I am not much of a baker\cook because at our house, Danny, Bonnie, and Mom are always cooking something; so, there was no need for me to get in the way. Besides, all their food was good; so, I had no reason to try to cook my own thing. All I had to do was ask; the Bible verse is true “ask and ye shall receive.” ๐Ÿ™‚

After breakfast, I waited for a little bit until the Ruckmans were ready to go to church. We had a great Sunday school hour and morning service. After the service, the Ruckmans had a meeting with some of the church members. So, I was left to sit with about eight young girls, who all enjoy talking (at the same time). It is very hard to follow and hear each conversation because each one is trying to talk louder than the other until everyone is screaming. While all the girls were screaming at the same time, I was holding two young girls in my lap. Needless to say, I had my hands full. ๐Ÿ™‚

When the meeting was over, we headed home. Mrs. Angie had a delicious meal in the crockpot. We also tried some rolls from a lady in the church; they were very good. After lunch, I went up to my room and rested. I think my brain is almost back to normal, and all the rest is really helping. I accidentally set my alarm for AM instead of PM. Once I had gotten up, I got ready for church.

We got to church a little before 5:00 P.M. because there was going to be choir practice for the play. The kids really did not get into singing until about fifteen minutes before the choir time was over. Once they started singing, it sounded very good. After choir practice, we began our church service. We sang several songs; then Richmond, one of the young men from the church, gave us this evening’s message. He preached a very clear message about salvation; but at the invitation, no one went forward. Please pray that those in our church who are not saved will listen and understand and that they will be saved before it is eternally too late.

After the service, the Ruckmans and some of the members continued their meeting from earlier. Their meeting went on a good while; again, I was left with the very energetic kids. Thankfully, this evening Bro. Moses and Bro. Steven were there to help me. We played some games; then, once the meeting was over, we headed home. We got home close to 9:00 P.M.; then, I made the exact same thing I had for breakfast; and of course, it was delicious. This is one of the few times my cooking ideas turned out. Hopefully no one will get any ideas and try to start implementing me into the cooking schedule. I like to eat, but I only cook if I need to. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Once I had finished supper, I said goodnight and was off to my room for the evening. I am typing the blog while I wait on the water heater to get the water warm; then, I will get cleaned up and be off to bed for the evening. I am looking forward to another good night’s rest. Tomorrow, we are heading out to do some shopping, and I desperately need a hair cut. I have not gotten it cut since before our trip to Burkina Faso. To some it may seem short; but, if I have to spend more than a minute getting my hair combed perfectly, then it is time to get my hair cut.
