This morning, I woke up and let Prince in so he could get some Milo (a chocolate drink) before heading down to Mpatado. Once he had gotten his drink and had finished it, I let him back out. While he was gathering kids up, I ate breakfast, got ready, then headed to the village to meet up with Prince.
I got to the village around 8:30, which is the time we are supposed to leave, but none of the kids were ready, and we did not leave the village for another forty-five minutes. Although we were about twenty minutes late to church, at least we made it. We had a good Sunday School hour, and I led the singing for the main service. After leading singing, Bro. Arhin and I went to our Jr. Church class. We are starting to get into the flow of things, and it is starting to get more and more fun. We had a fun lesson about David and Goliath today.
After the service, we gathered up the kids who needed to go back to the village and road our tro-tro back to the house. Once I got inside, I heated up some leftovers. There was not much, but it was enough to satisfy. After lunch, I went up to my room for the afternoon. I was able to get in a pretty good rest before getting ready for church.
I asked Pastor Kenney drive me to church as he was also on his way to church. I got to the church at 5:00 P.M. for choir practice; but the power was out, so we did not get to practice this week. Thankfully, just before the service started, the power came back on. We had a good service. After the service, I talked with some of the kids for a few minutes before having one of the guys catch a taxi for me. I was able to make it back to the house for 3 cedis (about 30 cents). I had the driver take me to the junction; then, I walked the rest of the way home.
On my way home, I was able to FaceTime my dad and talk to him for about an hour until I lost connection. 🙁 I then ate supper, washed the dishes, and headed up to my room for the evening. I am now finishing up the blog and then going to get cleaned up. It is currently 9:17 P.M.; so, I am hoping to be in bed by 10:00 P.M.

it was nice talking to you! The Kenny’s ride to church sounded like a good idea to me too! The village ministry is my favorite part of Africa and I am so glad you are a part of it. Its my prayer that one day a church will be established there and you will have great memories of helping!
