A Better Day

This morning, I woke up a little before 8:00. After getting up, I got ready for the day and headed downstairs. After we had breakfast, we did devotions; then, Bro. Ruckman had some projects for me while he worked on downloading and uploading videos for the Bible Institute.

First thing on the list was to make a spreadsheet with all the names, phone numbers, addresses, and classes of each person in the Bible Institute. I was able to do that in about an hour. After I had finished that, my second thing was to collect all the trash from all the trash cans before maggots got in them. Once I had finished that, I changed the water filters; then, I was done with my projects Bro. Ruckman had for me. Once I was done, I went up to my room and cooled off for a little while.

Around noon, we had leftover pizza; then, I made sure there were no more projects before heading up to my room for a nap. I had a pretty long nap, but I probably needed it after a few rough nights. After a restful afternoon, we had supper; then, I got ready for church. I left the house earlier than the Ruckmans because a few of the guys and I wanted to practice a song for the Valentines banquet; but when I got to church, those who were interested in singing were not there. So I sat in a chair and listened to the song on my own.

We were able to have a good song service, time of prayer, and church service. After the service, I played with the kids, ran a few races, and then we headed home. When we got home, Mrs. Angie made smoothies. They were very good and hit the spot after a long hot day! I have just finished getting cleaned up for the night, and am about to go to sleep because we are leaving the house at 8:15 A.M. for Bible Institute tomorrow morning-afternoon. We start at 9:00 A.M. and finish at 2:00 P.M. It is going to be a very hot day.

PS: For those who may be wondering, we are having the Valentine’s Banquet a few weeks late because the Ruckmans were in the US for a few weeks and were not here for Valentine’s Day.
