Wednesday, December 27 – Day #2 of Camp

This morning, I woke up at 7:00. I then read my Bible, got ready, and ate breakfast. Once we had eaten, I got a few more things ready; then, we were out the door headed to camp.

On our way out, we stopped at the ATM and then drove the rest of the way. The drive was only about fifteen or twenty minutes. Once we got there, we had a full day of activities. I will not go into detail because I could be typing for quite a while.

To keep it short, I’ll just say that it has been very busy, but it has been good. I have really enjoyed getting to know some of the kids from our church. I feel like we are forming a bond that is going to make it very hard to leave Ghana.

I do not think I have stopped sweating the entire day. It has been hot and humid. It feels nice to be riding home in an air-conditioned van.

Once we get back to the house, I will definitely be getting a shower. I am looking forward to a nice cool shower and a good night’s rest. We are going to have another full day of camp activities tomorrow.

I am the team captain for the blue team. We started out the day in first place and ended in last; so, I am hoping we can regain our first place position.
