Day #90

This is my 90th full day in Africa. It has been really good, and I am starting to get the hang of things. This morning, I slept in a little because I did not get to sleep until after 11 P.M., and the power went off at 4:00 A.M. After the power had gone off, I did not get back to sleep for about thirty minutes.

After I got up, I read my Bible and got ready for the day. Once I had gotten ready, I went downstairs. I studied for Bible Institute for a while; then, Mrs. Angie made some breakfast. After I had eaten, I did a little more studying. While I was studying, the Ruckmans left to do some shopping.

While they were gone, I rested. After I sat around for a while, I practiced my guitar until my fingers hurt too much to press the strings down. 😂 By the time I had finished practicing, the Ruckmans were home. When they got home, we ate some leftovers for lunch and then got ready to head to Bible Institute.

Once we got to the church, we had four good class periods. Once we had finished, we went to the store to get a few things. After that, we went home. When we got home, I practiced my guitar for another fifteen minutes. (I now have blisters on my finger tips.)

We then had a delicious meal. We had fried okra, scalloped potatoes, and some delicious pork. I told them to remind me of this meal when my birthday comes around. After supper, Bro. Ruckman and I had a small water fight. (I cleaned everything up.) 😂😂😂 I am going to have to be careful the next few days because I think Bro. Ruckman will be looking for revenge.

After I had everything cleaned up, we all sat down to watch a tv show. It is currently 8:16 P.M. Once we are finished watching the show, we will be off to bed.

  1. Now we know you are practicing that guitar. Blisters to prove it. Sounds like you had a pretty good day. Keeping busy does help to keep that homesickness low. We love you and glad you are getting this experience. Love you.
